Hi Y'all! I changed my template. It's a step up from the original, but not my own creation. (Take a close look...it's a blogger.com original.) It's going to take some time for me to create a brand new template from scratch. After looking at the code I don't think I can even do it without using a web design program. :P You know how much that blows? My original plans are being shot out of the water because I simply don't have THAT much time to devote to web design! (We're talking HOURS of pouring over code and changing little bits here and there to see what happens, and then going, "Oops," and trying to change it back, only to give up and start over again...maybe.) Which is why I haven't posted much on this blog yet. I thought I would get more on here, but being both married and a mother of two while trying to write a story that might someday get published doesn't leave room for much else. (By the way, I'm enjoying writing the story.)
Guess I'm a little frustrated at being so far behind the HTML world.

The Fam'

Here we are getting ready for pics. :)

The rest are just the girls and I goofing off with the camera later that day. We had fun. :D

Night Owl
Hello to all you night owls, myself included! Although I have made the goal to post every other day, I haven't been able to start tweeking the layout of this blog yet. :( It's been a busy couple of days! I apologize for this being such a tease of a post! To be honest, I'm not even sure what I want this blog to be all about! I'm sure I'll figure it out soon, with the more I post. For now it's an excuse to fiddle with HTML!
My brain has left me so I think it's time I got some shut eye. Good night, y'all. Zzz

I have a BLOG!
This is what everyone has been patiently waiting for...I finally created my own blog! It's about time I caught up with the rest of the world. My family and friends have been trying for FOREVER to get me to create my own website of some kind. I mean, I did get my associate degree in WEB DESIGN after all, and it's taken me how long to finally do something with it for myself?
I must admit that it's been a few years since I've done any kind of web design, so my skills are definitely rusty and in need of some major polishing. I have the potential to be good at it again (saved all of my HTML and design books...whew), and figure that creating this blog gives me an excuse to practice! There is so much that I've forgotten, and web design has advanced to the point that what I know is frighteningly outdated. At least the basics are still the same. Code is still code, even if how I do it is considered prehistoric. (Think: hand typing everything verses using a web design program that writes the code for you. I might as well be chiseling everything into a stone tablet - a very THICK stone tablet. But that's the only way I'll be able to re-learn this stuff and get back on the ball again!)
So I apologize for how this blog is currently designed. I see many cosmetic changes occurring in the not so distant future, and that's an exciting concept for me! I'm looking forward to exploring my options and setting foot in this vaguely familiar world of web design, with this blog being the first step! Wish me luck!
